Property damage liability
Property damage liability refers to a coverage that protects when the vehicle of the insured damages others property. It can be anything from another vehicle, house, fence or anything that got damaged in an accident. It provides the legal support to the insured as it protects him from the lawsuits failed against him.
Before purchasing this insurance, an individual should come up with an estimation of possible damage his vehicle can cause to other vehicles or properties. He can purchase adequate insurance to protect himself from the possible damages accordingly. However coverage is not unlimited. It is provided only according to the terms and conditions of the policy. The coverage limit is the maximum amount that will paid out for an accident.
The insured is advised not to select limits that are very low. Then he is at risk financially. For instance, if a driver covered by this policy causes damage to some property which surpasses the coverage limit, he should pay the remaining amount.
